I'm growing tired of ALWAYS having a scary FLOP followed by an even more scary turn and RIVER when I'm playing my KK AA or AK.... online that is... I mean... CMON!!! Can we CHECK A HAND DOWN? (IS THIS FVKING POSSIBLE ONLINE?)
Does it always happen to you to?
You get AK from mid to late pos.. You raise the raise you do - 3-4 times the BB or whatever - and BOOM - the flop 89% of the time HITS the TWO TO FLUSH, with an A AND K (Your cards - YES!) OR THREE TO FLUSH and your "A".. Oh - but Waite - it gets better - the turn ads a STRAIGHT DRAW - and the RIVER... A PAIR (Thank you GOD!) - WELL you know it's going to do it RIGHT? (YOU ALL SEEN IT COMING) I mean - If you are a low stakes player ONLINE - you will see the BOARD "pair".... or the ST DRAW WITH THE FLUSH TOO MUCH!

How "EXPECTED" at this point...
Well - I'm not saying I don't win online - (I DO) But - I think that with the same hands - in a LIVE game - I WIN MORE... Period.
Today - I have KK - I waited for this hand for some time - (was a good player) but... BOO HOO...
MAGIC HAPPENS - "HAND AFTER HAND" Not magic for me - but for ANY PLAYER CALLING my RAISE - with almost any hand ... k10 OFF AND THE LIKE...
BUT... lets get back to my hand of KK...lol
and the flop! A109 with two diamonds -
Scare #1 - the A.
Scare number two - TWO FLUSH CARDS (me holding nothing to the flush BTW)
Turn - BOOM! Not a 3 off .. " noOOOOOOOO" - Let's get a J up there - YES! (YES! MORE SCARE CARDS) Now I have the FLUSH and the ST to worry about - not to mention the 3 of kind... lurking out there - maybe. (yet ANOTHER lucky BOARD FOR ME! :) :) :)
I know it can HAPPEN - but what I'm starting to think ABOUT ONLINE is that it's ALWAYS HAPPENING - or at least too much anyways...
I say the same thing OVER AND OVER - ALL DAY LONG some days..
Huh! It happens to me almost every hand!!! It's getting so old..In situations like these... you must think you're the worst player ever (online) OR the one player with NO LUCK.. EVER! Well - I think thoughts like this - Problem is... my live games have bought me LOADS of cash since 1991... and I can't even say I was really good at the game back in the 90's.. I can't seem to get the same OUTCOMES as I do in live limit games... not like my cash game years of the 90's or today!
In situations like these I feel like a person in prison that is trying to BREAK OUT.. They study the game.. figure out a plan of escape - then, decide to make the move at the right time... (like with playing KK online) ONLY they get BUSTED! The lights go on and the guards spring up with guns a firing... By the time our prison break makes the fence (the TURN in poker) we are busted! Then the RIVER comes, something expected... (THE RIVER) One of our own sold us out and TOLD the guards - WE WERE SCREWED FROM THE GET GO... (online poker might = equal SCREWED FROM THE GET GO) UNLEASH THE HOUNDS!!!!

I started to REALLY ask my 80 or so player friends some questions... PLAYERS that have a game I respect and players that I always seem to see HOLDING all the chips in a LIVE GAME.. LIKE 70% of the time to be exact... (lol - much like me)
I ask them if they have the SCORES ONLINE - like they do in live action and GUESS WHAT -
NONE DO? SOME WIN A LITTLE HERE AND THERE - only to lose it by some fluke hand.. gone bad on the river down the line - Some win for a week then HIT a brick wall of TRASH beating them hand after hand...
Again - Odd?
Yes - I say it's very odd....
I can not prove anything - but I think it's a system that PICKS a winning player or players before the game begins..(a seat) I think that NO matter what - THE MAGIC SEAT THAT IS PICKED - gets high in tourney (in the money) - IF they are behind - BOOM they catch.. AND sNO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME.. they win...
IF MY take on some online sites is correct - It's due to the fact that the MACHINE - THE SITES "RNG PROGRAM" - chose the player (random at sign up maybe) that would have the GOLD HORSE SHOE jammed up their bum...
If "I" get the GOLD PIECE by signing up at X time - I GET THE WIN - IF YOU DO ! YOU GET THE "W"...
It could happen??? Don't just laugh.. THINK ABOUT IT! (Also tell me why my PLAYER friends NEVER score real money online - but have done so for years in casinos all over the USA)
I got to start smoking pot again soon.. but this is what it FEELS LIKE...

How do you factor in the fact that online the average player sees hundreds if not thousands more hands vs live play? That by the very nature of seeing more hands, it's inevitable that one would see patterns. When dealing with numbers, that's just the way of things.
ReplyDeleteWhat about adapting to each site's RNG? It CAN be 'beat.' There are many players that are consistently winning the big money. Besides, this game is all about situations and learning to adapt, flow.
