Daniel Negreanu - TAKING A LITTLE REST FROM POKER

I just ripped thru Daniel Negreanu's blog.. Seems he's making some changes for 2009. Slowing down. Being more selfish.. He wants to play more golf and he is going to slow down with giving away all his TIME and poker secrets..

He plans on making the WSOP his number one PUSH in 2009.

I wish him well...

I feel sorta the same as Daniel - except to a much smaller degree. (and I'm not talking poker) I need to slow down.

- No - I have it wrong..

I need to slow down... AFTER I speed up - I have a few more major projects to complete and then - I'm taking it a lot more easy.. Over the past 3 years - I've done major projects on my 100 year old home(s) - to make it modern and more like.. ME. (I added a little VEGAS lighting) I did so with every extra dollar (many thousands) and even some of my poker bank roll.. (OMG!)

Odd.. I expect when my life projects are done (and I know they will never totally be DONE) - I'll be playing more poker. The MAJOR stuff is behind me! (THANK GOD!)

I often Wonder if I'll ever get to a point where I'm looking for yet another rest from the felt.. (I have had this happen in the past..) I get where DANIEL is coming from.. needing to SCALE back.. (I'm sure his hours involved with poker CRUSHES mine - and I've played a load of poker..)

For right now - I'm tired of WORKING the regular work.. (too much work - DIRTY work - for too long - WEARS YOU DOWN) Funny how one man looks to LEAVE poker behind a little and another - is looking to GET back into it all HARD CORE.. (me) I guess this is why the game will go on FOREVER!

God help me to get to a point like the TV poker players - I'd love to wake up and worry about playing "more" GOLF.. or Getting my POOL game better... (I hate golf)

I think many - but I'm sure not ALL of the TV poker PROS - are sitting SO good that they don't have to worry much about house projects - like a leaky roof.. I do havre these worries - and I'll bet many reading this here blog do as well..

How nice for them..

For us - It's just a dream to "just play poker" for the fun of it.. Most of the ROUNDERS are playing to Pay rent - OR at least to have a vacation - etc.. (One vacation) or to buy a few EXTRA nice toys in life - In short - To many of us POKER is a hobby that PAYS.. sometimes.

Other times - POKER IS THE DEVIL.

Blah blah blah...

The point I'm trying to make is this.. Many of us REGULAR POKER JOES (Hey! - Do a search today for POKER JOES!) Many of us POKER JOES will never sit in a game and be able to experience what it's like to PLAY without the WORRY of losing "THE BUY IN".. With us - We have 1 or two buy ins... and then it's BACK TO THE EXPRESSWAY - HOME.. DREAMING of the NEXT TRIP.

It must be cool for Daniel - to be able to - well - be Daniel.

I'm not HATING on Daniel either.. He's got a good thing going and I'm happy for him.. He's great for poker and just a good guy. It's just - I'd like to PLAY at the level they play - and do it without sweating the buy ins...

lol

Then again.. I wanted to play in the ROCK GROUPS AC/DC and KISS when I was a child and Huh.. it never happened..

Who is your favorite pro poker player and why? I like..

OK- Many of you are not going to want to hear this.. but I have two favorites.

The two poker pros that I like.

Eric Seidel - Because I've been watching him play now for many years and he's like a Machine. He does this STACK building like no other.. - all while keeping a low profile. HE always nice at the tables.. I've never seen the guy go off or snap at another player.. That's just cool! His cashes speak volumes of his abilities as a pro poker player.

On the other side of the poker spectrum.. I like and respect..

Phil Hellmuth - I know - I know.. Tom.. Are you CRAZY? Well.. No. I understand his game (I get his mind) He is a great player and just like in football.. "It ain't bragging if you can bring it..." Many people want to take away the MIND games of poker - but THIS is a KEY part of TOP level poker - Many players not only enjoy (myself included) this important part of poker. They simply - OUTCLASS the field.. in many cases.

Phil can talk smack - cuz - he has the READS on your play (he knows what he is doing kids) and he has the track record of a CHAMPION. He's got to be in the TOP "3" of all time best players - If people are honest.

Online poker OVERHAUL! It's time for a change for the better!

If you are ANY kind of poker player.. you know that ***ANY*** FORUM YOU VISIT (WHOOPS - I'm yelling at everyone)

Every game that you play online -

In chat - on the forum boards etc..

It's the same old song... People RANTING "online is rigged" "expected that beat" "saw that coming" "online poker is a sham" (I know.. I do it - every day - few times a day ..SAD PART - I COME TO KNOW WHEN TO EXPECT IT EVEN... It's Always... in key hands, where players against me, MAKE INSANE CALLS - on weak draws, and poor odds) AND THEN LIKE magic - (OR AS I LIKE TO CALL IT - The online luck train) Hits them and gives them WHATEVER THEY NEED.

Look. I ran a live game for years ( a pretty serious game in the end) - YES! IT was LIVE! YES! It was much SLOWER..

(I'm yelling again)

But one fact was easy to see - PLAYERS MAKING BAD CHIOCES - LOST way more than players with skills, & quality play.. from position for the most part... but not always..

FOR some STRANGE reason - THE SAME LAW OF %'S , PROB. and STATS - does not work ONLINE.. Hmmmmm. Math in live game holds up - Math Online? -

MAny of us LOSE to the weak draw 80% of the hands..

Online is suspect at the very least.

During my years of live play and game running.. (to tell the truth)

I seen some NIGHTS where the dogs won.. sure.. it happened from time to time. - THEY GOT UBER LUCKY and crushed the better players.. (Key - The better players are easy to spot in live games - They are the ones you ALWAYS see cashing out ahead 90% of the time) Most nights however - the LUCK did not hit that low % draw for the weak skilled poker player.. and the UBER WEAK player was sent packing.. and FAST! Or He/she was forced to BUY IN AGAIN.. (Usually to lose that as well)

(boy I miss the LIVE action)

Online is about a fair as - well - Uncle Sam.

Well - I'm still playing poker on FULL TILT at 1:20 am. Midnight madness game! - TOO bushed to really type about it - but I want you all to know I'm here.. FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT!

Just as I type this first line! - I run into this type of EXPECTED HAND! (I expect to see them coming and they come LIKE clock work) QQ in the BB. A player should be happy right?

FULL TILT POKER does not even TRY and let me win a few of these types of hands when I'm going in pre flop with the best hand. This is why I feel ALL of online is PRE FLOP "SET UP" action - THIS POSITION WILL GET THIS HAND, probably bet it right - then this hand will TAKE it down with the DOG hand in the race...

DOG HAND WINS AGAIN HERE TONIGHT FOLKS! (problem is - if I have the dog hand.. not that I do - I just tried it for testing purposes a few nights - I still lose) Fair? Poker? Real poker? WTF is this? SLOT MACHINE POKER?

I mean WHAT CAN A POKER PLAYER DO - if everytime they go in with the best - AND THEY LOSE.

Ok - Player here in late position - goes with the standard raise here - but he's been doing just a lttle too much.

It gets to the BLIND hand and he goes ALL IN! (Can't say I blame him - it's pretty clear this player late in POSITION is just on a move with any two.

So it gets to me! I figure HELL! I'm going for it!

My logic was - if the BLIND hand player takes me - I still have plenty of chip -

I figured the late PLAYER would fold. I went ALL IN with A9 thinking I was actually the best hand!

Huh! I figured right! But.

We are talking ONLINE here.. (bot DOG HANDS beat me!)

Late player does NOT fold after all - but rather puts a major amount of cash on the line and then GETS smacked by the SPADECLUB luck train.

So - here is NOT one dog hand hitting my GOOD move - but BOTH dog hands CRUSHING ME!

And everyone wonders why I think online is rigged against quality players. (it's because this happens EVERY time I get a player online to make the DUMB move) I should - more times than NOT win that pot.

Well.. Some of you know me.. GOALLIN.COM (not mine any more.. sold it a few years back)
I guess this new FANTASTIC site is about.. Oh... About how pissed I am that after all these years.. ONLINE poker is nothing even CLOSE to live play. You see I'm getting back into the ONLINE POKER game (& live, full time) next year and I'd like to see this CHANGE already. Like Obama kind of change!

I expect I'll catch some heat with all this.. but to that, I'll just say this.. BRING IT! I’m Tom Dwyer and I’m just a regular 41 year old poker playing dude. (hopefully like most of you reading this) Being a lover of the game of poker player since 1991 (a game so pure - so REAL! I just love it.) I spent many of my early playing years jetting off to Las Vegas and taking trip after trip to Atlantic City... Foxwoods. Mississippi, and Turning Stone in NY. Given the economic times today (late 2008) - it seems like millions of years ago. I did over 50 trips to Vegas in the 90's.. up to 9/11. Then my wife and I had a little girl and poker took a back seat – for the most part.

I’ll return to the ring – Next year (fall 2009) when she enters Kindergarten. Watch out for me! Remember – There is no shame in folding a hand against me.

I was never KNOWN or a big shot.. But I made money. I made good money too! (Well.. I'm KNOWN in NE Pennsylvainia) I'm like the KING of Pennsylvania poker... (not POLKA!) Well.. I'm at least a prince baby!

I made enough from poker to build a few buildings and a sweet 4 stall garage for my toys. I bought countless keep sakes that I still enjoy today. And that's about it. (Hey.. "shhh" I’ll give you a major poker tip.. LEAVE A WINNER.. Be sure to buy yourself or someone you love something, anything... with some of the extra loot from your winning sessions.. That way – the other players can NEVER, ever.. get it back.)

I even won a nice CRYSTAL trophy in Vegas and with it won a DOYLE hardcover book - signed. He handed me the trophy and the book.. HOW SWEET IS THAT??? I have all that and a picture of.. oh him and I. shucks.. I just love it.

I got to talk with Doyle for a good 1/2 hour a few years back.. One on one (I sure doubt he'd even remember it) but I asked him a question - What is the biggest thing I need to learn about poker Doyle?

He answered....

Anyways..

I started my epic poker journey in a small casino… playing a “new” game… Texas-Holdem, it was a "fake money game" Casinos ran these to show people how to play. Usually when they needed to try and start a new table.. (Poker was not as BIG back then)

I figured what the heck.. and sat down. It was a joint called SILVER CITY in LAS VEGAS... on the strip. I was just going in for a free bag of pop corn or a cheap hot dog.. (hey people.. I was young and I had my BOOKLET of coupons like everyone else…) BAM! They snagged me at the door… “Want to try a new game??? FREE POKER LESSONS! Right over here…”

I went in looking for cheap or free food and instead I was HOOKED into Holdem instead.

I played that FIRST game and I swear on my daughter - FIRST HAND after the FREE SESSION - They started a REAL CASH 2/4 limit game... I was dealt a ROYAL FLUSH... (Later I decided that the dealer must have SET the deck for the instructional game.. Just to make it more exciting.. That… and to SUCK ME IN to POKER!)

I won like 8 bucks in that hand! HOW AWESOME is THIS STORY? It's 100% true. I expect it 100% true for about 80 thousand other tourists like me.. ha ha.. that took that FREE POKER LESSON at the SILVER CITY casino.

Hey! GIve them credit! It worked. It got me playing a new game.. (Now my only game) TEXAS HOLDEM (only thing now is - mostly it's NL or POT LIMIT for me)

I left that game and bought books.. I hung out at Benny B's place in downtown Vegas. I seen the game go from Doyle and PUG and Tom McAvoy, ect.. and yes.. Young Phil Helmuth - to well.. what..

WHAT We have today. CONGRATS MR. EASTGATE on your win. (You seem pretty cool to me)

Through all those years OF POKER PLAY and TRAVEL of course came the movie ROUNDERS (You shouldn’t have folded those K’s Mike) and of course the "Moneymaker" YEAR. All this did was put fuel on the FIRE.. FOR ALL OF US ROUNDERS... (I mean.. How SET UP is all this.. It even SEEMED FAKE TO ME... Is the DEVIL himself calling these shots? MONEYMAKER??? For SHITS sake?) MONEYMAKER is the BEST NAME to ever win the WSOP.

Of course the game BOOMED! (And to beat SAMMY… right? Cmon!) Moneymaker.. Wtf.. What are the odds...


With this kinda BOOM going on.. I went from back room game to back room game (as a player).. all over the Poconos... Some big games, some not so big and then I eventually learned how to run a game myself.. (One with class and Dealers that knew what they were doing.. ha ha... ) I hung a chandelier in my garage - made a few custom tables.. Put a bar in.. Sheet rocked the joint and the "Taj "O" Tom's Garage" was born.. Players heard about my game and within oh.. 2 years.. We had a nice stable of serious players.. And a pretty good list of non playing players... (donks) Which makes for a great mix. It was a garage - but when you got inside - you never knew it...

What a time it was... Oh.. the cash! Wow!

I went from a full time professional photographer to a part time pro photographer and a full time runner of a back room card game. It started out simple. 2/4 limit Texas-Holdem - from there.. in a matter of only a few years ended up a POT LIMIT game with $1500 pots. (Big for our area - trust me) It was exciting 2 - 3 nights a week and the games went on until the early morning hours.. Sometimes for 1-2 days.. Oh - such action.

Then, As quick as it all started… it stopped. It got too ugly. People got in too deep - and started losing too much..

I watched one very close friend almost kill himself. He lost his great job and family over this game. (Not in my game.. I shut mine down for this very same reason.. I hate the ugly DARK side of this game.. BE CAREFUL EVERYONE.. it happens.)

Other players just plain got ugly when they lost. When they WON and I was paying them the $1000.00 + at the end of the shift.. Oh.. THAT WAS GREAT.. Butttttt, if it was their money going to another player or me.. LOOK OUT. Doors would be ripped from the hinges. Harsh words flung back and fourth and threats made…

I looked at myself in the mirror one tired early morning and said.. Whoaaa - Stop the train. That game was about a 6 year run. Not bad.

In the early years of this entire BOOM - I started a web site called GOALLIN - "goallin.com" and actually had 1500 sign-ups.. Sadly, I shut it down when the UIEGA bill was passed. (Not one of my better moves) Today - It's run by some other company.

NOW LETS TALK ABOUT ONLINE POKER TODAY – SHALL WE?

While playing in my back room games of course, I found ONLINE POKER. You had to back then.. It’s all people were doing.. Playing live.. Then playing online. Most back room games that I’d visit had banks of computers… (The game runners were making rake online too!) It was crazy...

After I shut down… I still kept up with many of the players.. At least the ones that were not complete assholes.. And let me tell you - some of these guys and gals I played with were (ARE) JUST AS GOOD as any poker pro I seen on TV. (Big Al, Barry, Mario, Chunky, “Nick from Vegas” – Old Nick played gin with Stuey Unger himself… )

I shit you not – People came to play in my games from as far away as CHICAGO.. If you don’t believe me.. Go ask the DEALERS at the SHOWBOAT in ATLANTIC CITY.. See if one of them knows what I’m talking about..

So.. Online poker got a hold of some of us.. And, JUST LIKE in my LIVE POKER YEARS in Vegas and my back room I started to watch the action of ONLINE (like REALLY study it all)

But guess what..

Not one of my big players.. Ever seemed to get ahead? Hows this? I mean - Even a complete donkey “tool” should have had a huge winning night from time to time..

It happened in my LIVE games.. (Why not online?)

NO... Not a one of them reported a positive statement about playing online... All losers - month after month. (now - I will tell you - they put more money into the live games.. as they never really did have that TRUST a player needs to play ONLINE.."Older players want to see the deck of cards being dealt.. they want to see a shuffle)

Online - no go. You will never get that??? (or MAYBE not.. Look around my site here .. I see the future coming!)

I could go on and on for hours about poker.. But to be nice.. I'll sum it up. (I'm a bit of a talker)

Over the years.. I paid (cashed out) my better players in the games... Many more times than the poor players.. but, even the POOR PLAYERS had big nights from time to time..

Get this.. (It might be shocking to ONLINE ONLY PLAYERS) THE BETTER PLAYERS.. PLAYING BETTER QUALITY CARDS (usually with position and loads of talent.. “SKILL”) won MORE than POOR PLAYERS. Also, BETTER PLAYERS - MAKING PROFESSIONAL MOVES WITH LOWER END CARDS.. (& reading players) WON MORE MONEY.

CRAZY RIGHT? WRONG! It's the MATH! you can't BUCK IT!

Huh? (are you shitting me Tom?) No – it’s the truth. I swear to God!

But get this… PLAYERS WITH LITTLE EXPERIENCE OR PLAYERS JUST LOOKING TO CHASE ALL NIGHT - LOST HUNDREDS A NIGHT. (They went home with bunny ears…) I’m not shitting you here either. I swear to God!

BAD PLAYERS LOST ALL THEIR MONEY! CRAZY HUH? NO!

It's the math!!! THE MATH I TELL YA!!!

That was in LIVE ACTION POKER.. (REAL DEALER... REAL DECK OF CARDS, REAL SHUFFLE)

ONLINE???? This is a whole other beast....

FOR THE MOST PART.. ONLINE POKER = THE TWILIGHT ZONE! (That's my take on it anyways)

WHY? hell.. (If you are still reading this.. you are probably shaking your head YES here..) So - I'll keep going.

(NO! People. – “More hands per hour” will never cover the “difference..” More hands per hour should only mean MORE money **WON** “per hour” for skilled players... Online should mirror LIVE...)

But – Online does not mirror live poker.

Online Poker.. I have a question for you??? – WHY IS IT? My friends online are losing game after game or getting to a certain point in chips (cash) and then losing within ONE OR TWO major hands (This happens every session) in an all in.. no way you can fold – beat by QUADS on the river kind of hand…

Hand after hand we see great cards being called by rags (not against the rules of course) but.. Having these RAGS win time and time again?? - CRUSHING the quality players QUALITY CARDS? (You can get sick watching it happen all day and night online)

Online WE see too many “4” to the flush boards. And the cards that hit the felt are more apt to be CLOSE TOGETHER.. HARD TO FIND WIDE GAPS in the board with ONLINE POKER. (C'mon.. YOU SEE IT TOO) EXAMPLE – Board will be 4h6h7c - rather than 2h9cQs (Rainbows should happen more too.. just like live)

I want an ONLINE GAME with MORE ****FREAKING BLANKS!!!!***** or rocks or bricks.. or what ever.. (A card that will not effect the action) It happens LIVE people - I SHIT YOU NOT! (why not ONLINE.. as much)

Dog hands winning too many times. TOO MANY TIMES! Online - many cases you EXPECT it will happen. ONLINE HAS CONDITIONED PLAYERS TO THINK THIS IS THE NORM! TRUTH IS… you're shocked if they DON'T HIT the LUCK TRAIN and your quality hand HOLDS!

WTF! (It's insane! People.. THINK!)

The BETTER my AK looks on the FLOP – THE MORE I’M SCARED… (Sound familiar to any of you?) Ak btw – Loses ALL THE TIME online to "A10off" online. (everyone knows this online fact) (I suggest you play A10 off harder than AK)

It's the MATH!!!! YOU CAN'T BUCK THE MATH (at least not as much as online!)

(If online poker was a HORSE BETTING TRACK.. YOU COULD MAKE A MILLION ON BETTING THE UNDER DOG "Long shot" horses... ALL DAY LONG.. The quality horses would most likely DIE while still IN THE GATE) lmao.

ONLINE - LONGSHOTS get a little nudge of luck or a BOOST.. from the “LUCK TRAIN”.. River .. or as I like the call it .. The LUCKY “NOT SO RANDOM” RNG. (Random Number Generator) Seems RNG’s love to throw a bone to the RIVER!

DO I NEED TO GO ON HERE??? YES! YES I DO! CUZ it's THAT FEAKING STUPID...

Rng's - Cute little buggers... I really think they TRY to be random.. - But they don't even come close... (How about I see a RANDOM winner over here please - from time to time.. huh??) No – that will only happen in the small hands….

ONLINE is just a little FUZZY with the math.. (Quality cards=LOSER Rags/bad plays=WINNER)

Deal the TURN.. (Rare to see a BLANK right? It’s got to be an ACTION CARD. A flush card or the BONUS.. STAIGHT and FLUSH card) Deal the RIVER.. Add more options..

(YES! I KNOW IT HAPPENS! But NOT every hand!!!!!!)

Live games - more times than not - poor moves by players send them to the RAIL. Poor players are sent back to the cashier or ATM... To RELOAD… to REBUY!

I don’t know people.. I've seen it for years. No one will ever get me to believe that ONLINE is random. If so - how about a random HUGE NIGHT for me or “ONE OR MORE” of my 50 plus poker playing friends.

I'll add this too.. For years I've played in these online games - waiting for the hands.. (I was patient) only to be beat by the dogs.. I watched “in horror” it happen to OTHER patient players I watched too (Yes.. Virginia.. Some of us watch hands after we fold)..

I read the CHAT too... I read the countless players in chat that wrote (typed in) how frustrated they were - lines like.. "Expected" “How do you CALL there??” "BS" "WTF - that always happens" "you got lucky there... or did you? Maybe I got scammed?" You read this too.. But most CONT all this OFF.. It’s POKER… what.. It can happen.

So that's where this is going... I’m NOT FEELING the LOVE for much of the ONLINE POKER today… For the most part... I think it’s a sham… I’ve been ripped off by a good number of companies.. (FULL TILT POKER not being one of them)
The ALWAYS PAY and they PAY FAST! (I like this) I’ve been ripped off huge by a site called POKERDREAM. (But this is another story)

I started this web site the other night with only a few goals (I expect we will add a few as time goes on)

WHAT IF ONLINE POKER COMPANIES ARE SCAMMING POKER PLAYERS.. Basically - What if we are being ripped off blind. (I love to read countless online players DEFEND this question.. it’s as if they are afraid We’ll come and pull the power chord out of their electronic FIX (drug) of choice.. “Their online poker…”

We don’t want to take away poker… We want to team up with a group MILLIONS – that want to and CARE to have online poker.. BETTER.



We as players have the right to ask these questions and we also have the right to ask the MEGA MONEY MAKING POKER SITES to PROVE how safe their system is time and time again.. We are also within our rights to ask that IF a better system (more fair, "proven to be 100% more fair that is) comes along.. The BIG COMPANIES look into these systems (software) and of course add them FOR us..

Yes sir.. Someone needs to be a watch dog on all this online play..

When you are playing poker for years.. you tend to forget some things..

It's no secret that I'm playing poker since 1991. Pretty long time. I've however played with many rounders that played many, many, more year than I ever did.

A good number of years ago - when I was in a pretty long slump - One of my teachers suggested that I STOP playing and just watch... Choose a player that YOU know to be better than average and just watch.

Tonight - I did just that... (Not that I'm in a slump) I searched for the player and JUST watched him play..

Then came this hand..

He was in late POS.. It was raised to him and he re-raised - It got capped before the flop. Then came a board (see image) and the first to act BET OUT.. one caller, two caller... (no more raises) Turn.. Same. River.. (4th heart) Bet out - , FOLD.. and RAISE... Hmmmmmm (Anyone want to guess what LATE POSITION has?)

Anyways... I don't even play at this level.. and I sometimes QUESTION the hell out of the PLAY I see when I do.. but over all.. This player just KEEPS sitting there with some major cash.. So - let's face it.. He must be doing something right.

I sprayed his name out - because it does not seem fair to him.. for me to exploit him like that.. or to make him a target for future banter in chat.

The point of this little blog today is to tell you - ONE THING. If you ever get in a rut or if you start to question your play (too loose or too tight) - Give a look at some other players play for a few hours....

I watched the table.. I think ONLY "3" of them had game.. (few others had some basic talent and just held on for the next JUMP in cash, not that I blame them) and... others got there on the LUCK TRAIN and were like FISH out of water.

NO BIG NAMES... No Phil Hellmuth, no Jesus, no NOBODY... huh? Kinda supports my idea that WE ARE ALL LIKE SPAWNING SALMON when playing in poker tourneys... Skill is a factor - but LUCK plays it's role.

I think it will be good for poker overall, the young man beat Phil Hellmuth's record... He played with skills.. He's easy on the eyes.. and he was pretty cool about the whole WIN.. (and NO sunglasses) Let's face it - there are millions of young guys and gals that are not thinking hey.."I can do THATTTTT!" (I know I said it... I'm still saying it... lol)

It's all going to depend on weather or not Peter Eastgate wants to DO THE TOUR and help BUILD poker... (I hope he will) I can't even THINK of what it must be like AFTER you win that tourney. Globs of people wanting a piece of the WINNER.

SpadeClub - HAND OF THE DAY (so far)

Well - here we go again...
Yet another case where the COIN FLIP will not go my way..
The problem I have with it.. is 90% of the time when its me... (and I'm rare to call a hand like this with lower than 99) THEY spike the A.

The math is OFF when I'm holding the POCKET PAIR.

Hey - he won the hand.. More power to him.. But I'm laying that hand down...

I sit about an hour until I even get into action.. Mid pos - I raise with AQ suited.. I RAISE extra due to the million or so limpers.. I get a call from NEXT player after me and AN "ALL IN" from the seat after that...

Normal for me when online. (I'm SO freaking used to it) I'm used to people NOT taking any notice to how little I play a hand. OR how many call a raise.. WHO CARES.. The site will cover your bad move - with a BIG payoff..

JUST CALL PEOPLE! JUST CALL! Don't THINK - JUST CALL.

Better yet! Just write the online company and ask that your FOLD button be taken OFF - Who needs a FOLD button.. NOT YOU!

I'm sorry folks.. I just don't think we are ever going to get a fair shake online.

EVERY other TIME me or my friends get a quality TWO cards to play poker with online, we run into two things -

1. Way more callers than in the previous 10 hands of action.. (you can laugh.. but we always get more than the correct amount of action.. and ITS NOT DUE to poor table image.. It's the other players PLAYING badly.) And why shouldn't they play bad.. THEY have learned the site will pull a winner out of their ass for them....

2. We get TRIPPED or 2 outed by the river... Or the guy calling with 45 off hits a ST. (you know the GUY.. The one that should not have even been close to being in the hand.. Yeah.. THAT GUY) OR .. One of my FAVES.. You get it all in with your AK and get called by JUST ONE PLAYER.. with A9, in other words - UR CRUSING HIM! NOPE! Whammo! QUAD 9's "A" kicker.

Oh! Don't get me started.

Yes sir.. My friends and I.. We are SO darn lucky! We always get mega action - with many players calling with a garbage hand.. We get 2 - 3 BAD HANDS CALLING.. Hands, that LIKE MAGIC - hit the board with a loud smack! "if the sound OF THE SMACK had words to it.." It would sing out like this... "Quality cards and play will lose here more than normal %'s and math allow.. BEWARE suckers..." (Oh.. You are reading this blog thinking - I KNOW THAT SONG - Sure you do.. WE ALL DO! We are ALL getting the shaft 24/7. Fucking online companies! I hate them.. (spit)

Quality hands mean nothing online.

(A very bad..and sad.. but expected flip side to all this however - "If WE (me and friends) choose to play connected low cards..MAN! WATCH THE HIGH CARDS or OVER CARDS SMASH THE BOARD.. ) It's like the system crushes better plays.. and PLAYERS. (yes.. it's that simple) THE SYSTEMS LEARNS AT WHAT SKILL LEVEL YOU PLAY...

(If you don't know this ONE simple and oh so TRUE rule of online play - KEEP playing and get back to us after a few years OF NEVER CASHING OUT.. NEVER having even ONE super duper LUCKY can not LOSE sorta night..
These nights only HAPPEN at real life games.. )

(Online sites will have nothing to do with you WINNING enough to cash out - NOT GOOD FOR BIZ.. Plus.. If they let you BEAT all the POOR PLAYERS.. "the fish" the FISH will no longer swim in their waters.. Cuz the cute little fishies will be ***DEAD****)

THIS IS NOT IN THE PLAN OF ONLINE COMPANIES! (Nobody is really watching them either.. Nobody is really watching after us - THE PLAYER.)

For anyone NOT knowing.. (I think ONLINE is a complete scam.. and yet - I play anyways..) It's the only game in town.

To me - The action ONLINE is "SET" to get you on tilt. (Something you know all about John)

I guess when people visit my BLOG it's going to be a problem if they can't get a GRASP on all that it is saying/showing (mostly with proof in screen shots of my play ) - If they will never believe that ONLINE IS A RIGGED JOKE.. or at least that this COULD BE SO.. (That we are being ripped off blind) then I guess it's hard to take my posts/rants... and makes no sense.

Plus - I guess it kinda a DOWNER top have a stranger tell everyone that the GAME they love (are addicted to) is a scam. Yeah.. I'm no favorite.

I love the game... All I'm saying is this.... Either the online companies PLAIN can't get the cards to be true random (it's not possible) OR The cards (site) knows each the outcomes "BEFORE" the hand starts... and they do it for a reason.

I think the reason is this.. If players were sent to the rail by the better players - Business would be cut in half. (THEY WANT MORE.) Greed.

It's like - MAN... I find it hard to believe that SO many players getting crushed by poor moves (poor card selections of other players) OR that so many times A player that is the DOG will hit quads...

We all see it - EVERY OTHER HAND.. (they call them BAD BEATS for a reason - no?)

I make a motion on the floor - that when we play on line.. WE start calling them what they are.. EXPECTED BEATS.

BAD BEATS can happen.. yes. But should it happen to the degree that we see online. The number of times I'm beat by the BAD low % hands.. are AGAINST ALL ODDS. (Same thing happens to my many online playing pals)

Yes... MORE HANDS PER HOUR.. (I get it..) But winning hands should be WINNING more per hour... (THIS IS NOT HAPPENING)

Problem is.. My "whacked play" gets me paid and paid well in LIVE games 8/10 times. Online... I'm always smashed in ONE or two KEY hands.. After I get UP.

Why is it that hands like this do not ever seem to hold? It's like the software PUNISHES you for a bad move or something?

I mean - In many hands I have this on the turn and they should fold or LOSE.. but they never seem to lose.
