Too much to do..

I just can't seem to get to this blog during the warmer weather months..

I want to get to it.. but so many distractions.. I have idea's and thoughts on poker all day and night.

I have a party to put together (with tourney) for a friend that won his seat in this years wsop.

T-ball.. work, house, rentals, truck and other random acts have me feeling swamped... By the time I even get to try and play poker online - I'm bushed and can't wrap my head around it all..

I have images to get up from last week - (working on that now)

Well - it's not a biggie. Summer traffic is down bigtime - always is.. But for the few that read this blog. At least you know.

Last week I finish 200 out of 6700 in an FTOPS event (cash) -

Then this week - I WIN my way into a major FTOPS "main EVENT" - $50 buy in. Almost 12 thousand players...

I was going into this MAJOR game of poker tilt.. not from poker.. but from friends and family. One day I think they have my back - supporting me. Other days, I'm not so sure. Fustrating.

I was in such a HIGH winning this seat.. Not because of the win as much as WHAT I FIGURED OUT pertaining to NL poker - I think I learned a major TRICK to go deep.. So - I was READY FOR WAR the night before. Going into the game with a good track record of finishes.

All was looking good.

That was until I woke up on Sunday. The weather was not that good and all the rain ruined some of my home projects (a major concrete pour) It was just a muddy mess.

I finished deep bout out of the cash in a smaller ftops event in afternoon.. CARD DEAD.

My pal came over to take some extra stone I had in my driveway from a major SEWER project (to save some money) and then drove right over my UP SPOUT for the sewer back flow preventor. OH! YEAH! Diggin another 6' hole in my front yard is NOT what I want to do.. He never SEEN the bright orange stick jetting up from the 6" plastic pipe.

OMG!

This is how I go into my BIG game. But waite.. It gets better. My wife comes home and starts tinkering behind me - making all kinds of noise.. Just TWEAKING my already fragile nerves... Time and Time I've asked her to "GET IT" that when I'm playing poker for MONEY - I take it serious. Serious like a heart attack serious.

She of course is IN A MOOD to drive me nuts. Does her same THING.. and almost knocks me CRAZY. I ignore her. and she retreats to the upstairs.

For some reason - She does not care.

Huh.?

Anyways.. No doubt - I was affected my by the damage in my front yard.. and the COLD cards in the first FTOPS game of the day.. but my WIFE.. I just don't get it.

It's a HOT and COLD support I get from my wife with poker. (Usually - it's pretty good - or so it seems) Yesterday though, in a 100K payday game.. It was very cold.

Here are my STATS - I finished 3101 out of about 12K. Poker Pro "Christian Kruel" delivered my first COOLER - when he called my AQ diamonds raise from late pos - from his BB. He hit the turn "6" and ran with it. The pot was kept small - but at 400/800 or so.. well.. you know.





I'm going DEEP - so I'd like to keep taking stabs.. Just not sure I have the support from my family to go for it. It's such a drag. I don;t even play but 1-2 nights a week. I'm always working around the house.. Doing the daddy thing. I figure I deserve a few hours TO MAKE $100.000.00 for the family on MY OFF DAYS.

I might continue this.. Maybe .. maybe not.

I need to play MORE poker while on Twitter

More and more I think I'm getting this whole online NL poker thing. All you need are two things - Controlled aggression and your cards to HOLD in races.

They all held today! And MAN! Was I getting cards.

The last week has been amazing for me POKER wise... A close friend WINS his 10,500.00 wsop MAIN event seat - and I gain entry into Two major events on FULL TILT poker. The big games are tomorrow.

IT was touch and go many times in this FT game - I even made ONE huge mistake - Bluffing the FLOP into pair of 9's that held... (maybe I needto NOT fold 88 and 99 so much)

Final two got the seats in the MAJOR FTOPS game - the final 3 players - well - WE PLAYED ROUGH poker. It really could have gone any way - Which is quite normal. Finally - Things went MY way... FANTASTIC!

I'm now lined up in TWO major money tourneys on FT SUNDAY - May 17, 2009 and I also have our XFILESPOKER FREE ROLL tomorrow.. (not sure what I'm doing there - Might have to go with the BIG MONEY GAMES.. and take a pass..)

Tomorrow will be busy POKER wise. I take it like a serious day in the office. All Business.

One game - I believe Top prize at this point is 8K or so.. the Other - MAIN EVENT - $77,000.00 Plus FOR FIRST PLACE ALONE! Boy! $500.00 "xfilespoker.com" FREE ROLLS if we nail that BIG prize.

Chunky is going to WSOP!

Already in the works - a PARTY/REUNION of a major poker game - It ran for years and was a HOT HOT game.

POT LIMIT.

I expect - this time around it might be a NL game.

So - working on a list - BBQ, and party details! This one is going to be grand.

Also - this in the works. I return to my home away from home - LAS VEGAS! I would not miss this trip ever. Swine flu and all!

CONGRATS to my close and "long time playing" poker pal chunky for winning his 10,500.00 seat tonight. (May 11, 2009) He locked it up with points TONIGHT, two weeks shy of the 40 week deal.

He played 10 guys in a HOMETOWN league game for 40 weeks @ $60 a week - and took down the prize.

$35 went to till every week.
$25 for 1st and 2nd.

Totals worked out in end like this..

$14,000.00

$10,500.00 for WSOP seat
$ 3,500 for AIRFARE, Hotel and spending money.

The best part about his win (for me) is he came up to visit me at the Elks bar and said nice things about how I was the guy that showed him the game - the game that might change his life (has already actually...lol) forever. Chunky and I have done countless trips to Atlantic City and Vegas and I even coached him to his first major online win (via a cell phone from wal-mart) for a $1600.00 win...- Since then - Chunky has found other coaches as well.. and I now go to him for advice. Bottome line. We love each other and we love the silly game of poker! (Poker is the Devil - right chunk?)

We also played in a pretty major home game coined "the Taj "O" Tom's garage" (yep - that's me) that I ran for years (1/2 and 1/3 pot limit) We played with some very talented local players... and you could not help but learn playing with our group. (You learned or you went broke) It was a barn burner game that went on for 24 hours at times a few times a week. For years. It shut down due to the pots getting over 2000.00 - To rich for most players playing. - To rich for me to run without major WORRY for players.

SO CONGRATS TO OUR CHUNKY!!!!

Good Luck Chunk! I hope you win it all!!! You have come a long way since losing $400.00 in one night playing in my 2/4 limit poker game..

Chunk will now play for the 10 players that joined the league... (Each member owning 10% of chunky)

WSOP - 2009

I wake up today (on my birthday) and all I got in my mind is winning a seat in the 2009 WSOP. I was not even looking to GO in 2009, rather my target has been 2010.

How cool!

The problem is.. I have little info on doing such a task via games online. I'm not one for trolling the boards looking for the best satellites games to play. Someone out there MUST have already done all the homework for me.. Right?

If you know of great satellites out there for me to give this years WSOP a crack.. Please hit me up with a comment here. I'm not looking to get into the MAIN event.. Any old WSOP NL or POT LIMIT event will work.

$1500 - or so buy in..

My pal Chunky is close to winning his 10,000.00 seat and My gal friend is going out to DEAL the big games.. so now I have the BUG to go out there and get into SOME POKER ACTION.. I want to play some cards!!

Time for me to start making my RUN at the BIGTIME!
