ONLINE POKER NOT RIGHT

Awhile back I asked for suggestions for future blogs. I was asked if I could go into more details as to why I think online poker is NOT right.

Well - I'm not going to give you page after page of stats (I tell all that read - It's the same time and time again.. I'm not a stats man.. I'm a feel man that works the POSITION and plays quality cards.. with a dose of READING players... as best I can)

So my post today will be simple but DO NOT OVERLOOK what I say.. I'm telling all of you something and I know I'm right. THAT'S THE BEST I CAN DO.

Over the last few years I played countless poker games and tourneys online - FULL TILT - POKERSTARS.. etc.. I've won my share of tourneys - (you can see the images on my prior blogs dating back a good amount of time)

Mostly what I find with online is SET UP situations that make it both good and bad for me.. (It does not make it poker however) When I'm NOT INVOLVED IN POKER HANDS (in other words I've folded) I'm still LOOKING at the other hands (the action) and I see the same thing. INSANE POKER ACTION.. It's contrived with some smart computer system.. (If you want stats.. I'd say 98% of the hands I'd guess are set up.. meaning - Whatever players are LEFT in the hand - These players "will" get something to give them a DRAW or a better.. COUGH.. LOSING HAND..

I'm rushing as I post this - so NO DOUBT I'll need to come back and do a re-write.. but I'm shocked at the fact that ANY cash games I play online - I lose. HOW can anyone LOSE em all.. (Take a players skill level out of it)

I play online I lose. I play live I win 80% of the time. Hmmm - NO BRAINER.

I'm not a poor player or a losing player - I work position and I BET HARD.. In tourneys I bet the proper bets - make the right moves based on how the other player is playing that day (or my guess as to how a player is playing) But never over the last few years have I won any major scores or "major cash wins" with online poker(I'm finished with online as it SITS right now)

Now.. I know what some of you are thinking - You can just say I'm a weak player - Sure.. sure you can.

But here is the thing... In cash games - I'm winning great bundles of cash - to the tunes of hundreds and thousands.. I'll HOLD tight.. LOSE A LITTLE - or make a huge score - (enough to purchase FUN items - @ $200.00 - $2,000.00)

In cash games - I'm a major threat to your stack.

SOMETHING IT APPEARS is hedging the other players outcomes.. To beat me. (while I play POKER online) WHO KNOWS - Maybe we are playing BOTS that play for these companies - Maybe they take NOT ONLY the rake - but also the POT too.. (Enron type evil)

I could go on.. - In the next blog - as promised - I'll chat IN MORE DETAIL about my WEEK in Atlantic City - THE CASH GAMES.

But for the TOPIC of this thread - here is the BULLET LIST of info... (to help make the posts POINT)

I played "ONE" cash came - at the TROP (1/2) NO limit.. Tripled my money - $150.00 buy in.

I played "3" NL tourneys - at the TROP -

2-$52
1-$122

I should have cashed in all three - (45-80 player games) but the two $50 games - I got caught.. (No biggie) Had I my BETTER cards held - (one was a semi-bluff that was just bad timing - running into AK) I'm INTO the cash in BOTH - as I finished just before the bubble..

The $100.00 game - I entered the final table (paying 5) with 2nd to the lowest in chips - and .... (this was a 50-60 player game)

I post a trip report this week - covering all the fun.

POINT IS.. (why is ONLINE not right?)

I won a total of $900 - with an investment of $340.00 (all games)

I'd never dare to drop $340.00 online in a month.

I did it in the past - but never again..

Hmmm - Let's make my point more clear.

I played a few hundred "online poker" CASH games (close to a thousand) and I never once MADE enough on the first night to cash out.. I never seem to have a good win - Hell my online wins are so far and few between... IF I DO WIN A MAJOR POT WHILE PLAYING ONLINE - I get into another major hand soon after - that I MUST play hard - ONLY to lose to a 1-2 outer. Taking all the profit away. STREAKS OF WINS IT SEEMS IS NOT ALLOWED WHEN PLAYING POKER ONLINE.

ONLINE POKER IN MY MIND - CATERS TO ACTION JUNKIES - NOT QUALITY POKER PLAYERS. QUALITY POKER IS NOT REWARDED ONLINE.

LIVE POKER -

FIRST NIGHT at trop in Atlantic City playing - (In 2 hours "lol" of play mind you.. IN and out in 2 hours) I was up and GET THIS.. I cashed out.. a nice win $300.00 profit over the $140.00 buy in. Actually I think it was $340 profit - as i remember buying stuff for my kid on the boardwalk.

BEST PART... When I went back for the next day of LIVE poker - I "knew" I'd never have to worry about a CASH OUT CURSE.. I knew - I'd be playing the PEOPLE (players) and the DECK. The REAL (non RNG) DECK OF CARDS..

THE WAY POKER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED.

If the day ever comes when I can CASH OUT (with online poker) the same amount of times (%) as I do in live casino poker (and the same amounts in short amounts of time) - I'll think about coming back - but something is going to need to change.. (MAJOR CHANGE to online poker.. Much like the NEW poker site I keep telling all of you about) THEN and only then - I'll give online poker another spin..We need a ReAL DECK of CARDS online and a company on the up and up. We need REAL DEAL.

lol - (Can you believe I'm just taking a break from putting down a new kitchen floor - "floating floor") I just came inside from cutting in the driveway to get out of the heat) That tells you how much I think about poker. ALL DAY every day..


Oh.. In the next post I have to tell you about the ONE hand I played and the CALL I got.. (player made the right call) - I got super lucky and then REALLY unlucky.

As I see it. Online poker is rigged. It's all tweaked outcomes and situations.. Online poker to me = RIGGED POKER.
