2. Please explain how DISTANCE might be something of a tell.. (NO you can NOT USE DISTANCE for your answer to QUESTION #1.) *Get close to an acceptable answer and I'll give it to you - this is basic poker stuff and the KEY here is to learn and HAVE FUN while doing so..

3.If a PLAYER with a sub par hand wanted to deter another from entering a pot.. He/she might show some form of ___________________ to help make this happen. Hint! Starts with a letter before B.

ReplyDeleteANSWER : An odd thing about tells, they are not consistent from player to player. Keeping this in mind
a. Staring hard at you trying to intimidate or he / she may do the opposite, look away and refuse to look at you at all.
b. Play could become talkative / somewhat animated playing with chips, tapping a foot or the opposite, very rigid and stoic.
Learning the player to determine which he / she is key.

Generally if a player has a strong hand the distance from table / chips they will try to present the same posture as if they are not in the hand, whereas a weak / bluffing hand they may try to lay back very relaxed.
