What's the BIG "DEAL"?

DEAL - the movie.

Burt Reynolds, Bret Harrison, Shannon Elizabeth, Charles Durning, Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandari, Vince Van Patton. Quite a list! (What gives? where is JEN TILLY? I seen her in the trailer)


I'm a go with my gut kinda guy - and MY feeling on this trailer is that the makers of this movie are onto something huge. Maybe the NEXT rounders..(OMG! Did I just say that?) The first thing I noticed is they had such a presence of 18-24 year olds LOVING THE GAME.. YES! Keep the fish coming! Burt Reynolds seems a "bit" hoaky at times in the trailer (but just a tad..) then he's SPOT ON! (FOR ME - It's hard to let go of the "YOUNGER MOVIE STAR" Burt)

It appears the director of this film CAUGHT the "POKER LANGUAGE" pretty well.. (It seemed "real life") Hey - What do you think? GO SEE THE TRAILER YOURSELF.!

If this movie does better than rounders - it will kick off the next earthquake in poker.. and ignight "the next generation" - Something that is much needed to keep the tourney fields/table games growing.

This movie has some heavy hitters from the past. Some of you readers might not remember - Burt Reynolds was ONE of the best! He had it all! He was on the cover of ALL the major rags. He was the BANDIT for shits sake.

My thoughts of him being hoaky might be OFF due to the fact that I remember the YOUNG Burt Reynolds (Smokey and the Bandit! (1977), Hell, He was the man who had our "movie gal" at the time Sally Fields.. SHE WAS HOT!) Mr Reynolds was and will always be a HOLLYWOOD legend - Burt Reynolds is a MOVIE STAR folks. **MOVIE STAR** (I make this point for all the younger men and woman) Have some respect when your watching this poker movie.
